Lansing defeated Dryden 12-3. Sam Currie picked up the win for Lansing
as he went 5 innings, allowing 0 hits while striking out 10. Bruno
Bugliosi picked up the loss for Dryden as he went 1.2 innings, allowing 8
runs, (4 earned) on 5 hits, while striking out 4. Justen Geddes
pitched the final 4.1, allowing 4 runs (3 earned) on 4 hits, while
striking out 3. Lansing would break out in the second inning as they
would score 8 runs. A lead-off walk and a hit-by-pitch would put
runners on 1st and 2nd. An Andrew Maul RBI single would score Troy
Osterman to make it 1-0. After a strikeout recorded the first
out, Alex Purcell walked to load the bases. Josh Todd would score on a
wild pitch to make it 2-0. Ellington Hopkins would walk to load the
bases again. Greg Lehr followed with a 2-RBI single to make it 4-0. A
critical error allowed 4 more unearned runs to score for Lansing.
Dryden would finally get on the board inh the top of the sixth against
reliever Ellington Hopkins as Noah Welgoss walked with 1 out. Bruno
Bugliosi followed with a single to put runners on 1st and 2nd. Derek
Wilson would follow with a single to load the bases. Brian Colbert
would reach on an error, allowing Welgoss to score on the RBI to make it
10-1. Alan Davis would follow with a fielder's choice, forcing Colbert
at second, but allowing Bugliosi to score on the RBI to make it 10-2.
Dryden would add their third run in the seventh as John Whitmore led
off the inning with an infield single. Whitmore would steal second and
score on a Noah Welgoss
RBI single. Dryden is off until the Cortland Tourney, April 6th.
