Dryden tri-meet: The Purple Lions boys and girls both swept
Whitney Point and Union Springs. The boys team defeated WP, 111-16, and
beat Union Springs, 73-58. The girls beat WP, 110-29, and the Wolves,
100-40.

Arnold won three events for the Purple Lion boys, taking the 400 meters
(54.5 seconds), the 200 (24.3) and the discus (96 feet, 7 inches). Will
Holt won the 110-meter hurdles (16.2 seconds) and ran a leg on Dryden’s
winning 4x100 relay, which won in 45.9 seconds.
On
the girls side, Rachel Hutchinson won both the 400 (1:03.4) and the
800 (2:32.8) and ran legs on Dryden’s winning 4x800 and 4x400 relays.
Hutchinson finished eighth in the 1,000 at the state indoor championships
last month at Cornell. Abbey Yatsko won the 100 (12.7) and 200 (26.2),
and anchored Dryden’s 4x400 relay. Mackenzie Todd won the 100 hurdles
(17.3), and the long and triple jumps.
