VARSITY BOYS BASEBALL 4/23 vs. Lansing
Dryden
fell to 3-2 in IAC play and 3-5 overall with a 14-5 loss to visiting
Lansing. Alan Davis got the loss for Dryden, while Alex Schutz got the
win in relief for lansing. Dryden got on the board in the bottom of the
first as Bruno Bugliosi doubled with 1 out. Bugliosi would advance to
third on Derek Wilson's single to put runners on 1st and 3rd. Alan
davis would follow with an RBI single to make it 1-0 as Bugliosi scored.
Wilson
would advance to third. Justen Geddes would follow with a 2 RBI double
scoring Wilson and David to make it 3-0. Lansing would cut the deficit
to one in the top of the second as Pat Judd scored on a Josh Todd RBI
single. Dryden would increase the lead to 4-1 in the bottom of the
second as Drew Wojcinski reached on an error, stole second, and scored
on Bruno Bugliosi's RBI double. Lansing would close the gap to 4-3 in
the top of the third, and take the lead 5-4 in the top of the fourth as
Dennis Britton and Andrew maul scored after consecutive HBP and walk.
lansing took command in the top of the fifth as they scored 5 runs.
Dryden is at Marathon Thursday.
