Severe thunder storm warnings, horizontal rain and high winds couldn't stop the Dryden Varsity Boys Lax team from their second win of the season. After scoring the first two of the game the lions looked as if they were ready to break out of their 3 game losing streak. Oneonta quickly equalized and it looked as if we had ourselves a game. Oneonta would make it 4-2 until Dryden would go on a 10-2 run to end the first half as skies darkened, rain continued and the lights came on at TC3.
After an even third quarter (4 goals each) Dryden settled in and took the 4th quarter 7-1. In a game that some would have thought to be full of turnovers and sloppy play with sagging pockets and high winds, Dryden had one of their best ball control games of the season, controlling ground balls (43-17) and winning 79% of face offs. They also assisted on 65% (15 of 23) of their goals.
Dryden 23, Oneonta 11
