Grace DePaull scored a first-half goal, and Taylor Bennett and and
Amy Gardner sealed it with second-half scores as the Dryden girls’
soccer team remained undefeated by blanking Whitney Point, 3-0, on
Wednesday in Interscholastic Athletic Conference play.
Bennett
also assisted on DePaull’s goal, at the 23-minute mark, then scored 10
minutes into the second half off an Abigail Barr assist for the Purple
Lions (8-0). Gardner closed the scoring midway through the second half.
Sarah
Westcott made two saves to get the shutout for Dryden, which had had a
13-3 edge in shots and took all six of the game’s corners. Mackenzie
Cafferty made eight saves for the Eagles.
Dryden hosts Union Springs next Thursday.
