The
girls varsity swim team had their first meet of the season on Thursday,
September 4th: the Harvest Relays hosted by the Waverly
Wolverines. The exhibition meet consisted of eight relay events plus
1meter diving, and the team swam well. The meet provided a chance for the
seasoned members of the squad to swim under competitive conditions again with
the IAC season approaching, and it gave the new members of the team a chance to
swim against varsity competition for the first time. The first IAC meet
of the year is next Tuesday, September 9th, at Waverly. Please
note the location of this meet has been changed to an away meet, and the girls
will now host Waverly on October 7th. Good luck on Tuesday!
