The
Dryden JV Girls basketball team improved their record to 5-0 winning 53-27
against T-Burg. We played exceptionally well on both sides of the ball
throughout the game. The girls came right out and started out the game with 14
quick points. From there they never looked back. The girls held T-Burg without
any field goals in the first quarter. I knew if we put some pressure on their
ball handlers we could make it difficult on them. We did a great job with our
press defense, setting up excellent traps. Dryden had a 33-13 lead at
half-time. From their, we were able to make a lot of substitutions and get some
girls in and work on some things. That's always a plus when we can get everyone
in!!! It was a much balanced offensive attack three girls scoring in double
figures. Lindsey Goodenough led the charge with 17 points and was 5-12 from the
line. Amy Gardner added 13 points and Keri Daley helped by scoring 10. The
girls are playing good basketball at the right time. The next contest is
schedule for Friday against Lansing.
