Dryden improved to 1-1 on the
season with a 53-26 win at Groton.
Dryden was led by sophomore Ali Abel-Ferretti who had a double-double
with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Dryden
also got 9 points from freshmen Trevor Gardner, while seniors Ross Cole and Joe
DeLucia added 8 points each. Groton was led by Nick Ossit who had 8
points. Dryden took a 16-7 lead after
the first quarter. "I thought our
tempo was good, we just needed to do a better job of finishing." Abel-Ferretti had 6 points in the
quarter. Dryden took a 27-9 lead into
the locker room at half, Cole with 4 points in the second quarter. Dryden outscored Groton 15-7 in the third
quarter. Abel-Ferretti, with 7 in the
quarter and DeLucia with 4 points in the quarter. "Joe gave us a great lift off the bench
tonight. He did a great job of taking
what the defense gave him. His
intelligent play really helped us in the second half." Dryden JV'S defeat Groton to improve to 1-1
as well. Sophomore Anthony Nichols led
Dryden with 14 points. Dryden hosts
Whitney Point on 12/10.
