High School Roundup: Dryden boys, Lansing girls post IAC basketball victories

Sophomore Ali Abel-Ferretti had 13 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Dryden boys basketball team to a 53-26 victory over host Groton on Tuesday night in Interscholastic Athletic Conference play.
Freshman Trevor Gardner added nine points for the Purple Lions (1-1), who got eight points apiece from seniors Ross Cole and Joe DeLucia.
Dryden outscored the home team, 16-7, in the first quarter and extended its advantage to 27-9 at halftime. Ferretti had seven of his game-high point total in the third quarter as the Lions outscored the Indians in the period, 15-7.
Nate Ossit had eight points and Dylan Ellis and Will Stoughton chipped in six apiece for the Indians.
The Purple Lions return home next Tuesday to face Whitney Point.
