At Dryden, the Purple Li­ons (2-0) knocked off the defending Section 4 Class C champion Bobcats (1-1) as Vanessa Scott had three kills and 12 service points, and Kate Holland added six aces and 10 ser­vice points. Katie Hoy had six digs for Dryden, which travels to Moravia on Wednesday.
Kala Mattoon (6 aces) and Kaleigh Hotchkin (10 digs) paced Lansing, which hosts Southern Ca­yuga on Wednesday.
