Dryden Boys Soccer wins opener

Ithaca Journal

Dryden 3, Whitney Point 1: Gabriel Guisado, Jacob Czapranski and Padraic Ianello scored and Haile Cutter made one save to lead the Purple Lions.
Guisado converted his own rebound in the first half to give Dryden a 1-0 halftime lead, and Czapranski got the eventual winner early in the second half.
“I liked our play today,” Dryden coach Laszlo Engel said. “We are learning a new system and will certainly make it better as we go along. We do need to convert more of our chances, but I know that will happen as they become more confident in the system.”
Dryden outshot WP, 31-4, and had a 6-3 edge in corners.
Zachary Marsh had the goal for the Eagles.
