Dryden 5, So. Cayuga 0: At Dryden, five players had goals and Haile Cut­ter made one save to get the shutout as the Purple Lions improved to 2-0. Mike Harvey, Padraic Iannello, Jake Szapranski (assist), John Whitmore and Josh Hutchinson scored goals for the win­ners, while Ali Abel-Fer­retti, Bruno Bugliosi and Jon Becker all had assists. Dryden dominated in shots (20-1) and corners (7-1). “We are learning very quickly,” Dryden coach Laszlo Engel said. “We played well and kept the ball in the attacking zone for most of the game. Our defenders kept the ball moving and quickly stepped in to win the balls in the back. We still have a ways to go, but so far we are definitely making good progress.”
