Lansing 2, Dryden 0: In the second game of a girls/boys
doubleheader at TC3, the top-ranked Bobcats improved to 14-0 and have
now outscored the opposition this season, 56-0.
Monday’s game was
the resumption of a game that was suspended on Sept. 30 due to storms in
the area. The game picked up with 25 minutes to go in the first half.
Nick
Parkes scored three minutes into Monday’s action, and Josh Zajac
doubled the lead with 10 minutes left in the first half. Matt Hulsebasch
and scoring leader Alex Purcell picked up assists.
“We played a
really good first half,” Lansing coach Adam Heck said. “We were going
into the wind and played the ball on the ground, which was good. When we
had the wind in the second half, we thought we could play through the
air, and we weren’t as sharp. And Dryden played really hard.”
Bryce Stanhope made four saves for the Bobcats, while sophomore Sean McDaniel made nine saves for the Purple Lions.
