Lansing 55.5, So. Cayuga 32.5: On Tuesday at Poplar Ridge, Grace Ferris won the 50 free and 100 breaststroke and swam a leg on the winning 200 medley relay to pace the Bobcats (9-0). Claire Rejman won the 200 free for the Chiefs (1-5).

Girls Varsity Swim at Odessa-Montour

The Dryden Lady Lions varsity swim team produced a
comfortable win at Odessa-Montour on Tuesday, October 14th. The girls won 10 of the 11 contested events
on the way to a 69-25 triumph. The win
improves their record to 4-4 on the year.
The team benefitted from individual wins by Maddee Alexander
(100 Back: 1:16.35), Taylor Cain (100 Breast: 1:17.46), Erin Daley (200 Free:
2:13.29), Cassie Miller (100 Free: 1:03.99), Marita Miller (100 Fly: 1:12.09),
and Jainyn Wood (50 Free: 28.09; 500 Free (6:02.61).
Dryden also won the 200 Medley Relay (Erin Daley, Taylor
Cain, Jainyn Wood, Allison Morrow: 2:09.26), 200 Free Relay (Marita Miller,
Taylor Cain, Allison Morrow, Erin Daley: 1:55.34), and the 400 Free Relay
(Miranda Seymour, Jada Chaires, Sydney Bishop, Erin Daley: 4:33.94).
Second place finishes in were recorded by Taylor Cain (50
Free: 29.50), Veronica Cator-Szymanksi (100 Fly: 1:18.79), Marita Miller (200
Free: 2:14.25), Allison Morrow (200IM: 2:42.44), and Miranda Seymour (100 Free:
1:06.27). Dryden also finished second in
the 400 Free Relay (Marita Miller, Veronica Cator-Szymanski, Hannah Bell, and
Jainyn Wood: 4:35.05).
Season’s best times came from Maddee Alexander (100 Back:
1:16.35), Kennedy Humphrey (100 Back: 1:31.44), Marita Miller (100 Fly:
1:12.09), Allison Morrow (200IM: 2:42.44), Miranda Seymour (200IM: 2:44.26),
and Jainyn Wood (500 Free: 6:02.61).
The girl’s next meet will be Thursday, October 16th,
at Whitney Point.
