Dryden Boys Basketball over host Lansing 69-40

Dryden improved to 6-4 overall and 5-2 in division play as they defeated host Lansing 69-40.  Dryden was led by Ali Abel-Ferretti who finished with 14 points and 7 rebounds.  Stu Stahlman added 13 points and 9 rebounds, while Anthony Nichols added 10 points and 4 rebounds.  Trevor Gardner added 7 points and 8 assists.  Lansing was led by Zach Detrick who finished with 12 points.  Dryden would take an 18-9 lead after the first quarter.  Abel-Ferretti had 8 points in the first quarter.  "This is the first game where we have led after the first quarter.  We got some easy looks and were able to finish."  Dryden would outscore Lansing 15-10 in the second quarter, taking a 33-19 lead into the locker room at half.  "We left some points on the floor in the second quarter.  We continued to get easy looks, however we did not finish as well as we did in the first quarter."  Six different Dryden players would score a field goal in the second quarter.  Dryden would outscore Lansing 15-13 in the third quarter to take a 48-32 lead into the final quarter.  "We changed our defensive approach tonight.  We have some adjustments to make, however I think we have found something which may benefit us going forward."  Dryden is off until January 19th, when they will travel to Windsor for a 3pm JV tip.  The Dryden JV's lost to Lansing.  The Dryden JV's travel to Union Springs this Friday for a 6:30 tip.  No varsity game as the Union Springs varsity team folded.
