Despite Abel-Ferretti's 26 Lions fall to Whitney Point

Whitney Point 69, Dryden 51: At Whitney Point, the Purple Lions fell to 1-2 on the season despite getting a game-high 26 points from 6-6 junior Ali Abel-Ferretti. Stu Stahlman chipped in 10 points and Trevor Gardner had nine.
Whitney Point (4-0) got 20 points and 14 rebounds from Gabe Shrauger, and 18 points from Brady Harrington. The winners shot 27-of-53 (51 pct.) from the floor.
The Golden Eagles led 38-15 at halftime and stretched the advantage to 61-30 after three quarters. Shrauger had eight of his points in the first period to help the home team get out to a fast start.
Dryden hosts Southern Cayuga on Friday, beginning with the JV game at 6 p.m.
