Ithaca Journal

ITHACA — Midfielder Lindsay Biondi, attackman Jaedon Henderson and midfielder Riley Lasda each capped stellar careers for Ithaca High with lacrosse All-American honors.
Biondi, who will play at Maryland next season, earned her second All-American honor. She garnered that honor as a sophomore at Brewster (Section I). She scored more than 300 goals in her prep career, and led the Little Red to the Section 4 Class A title game, where it lost to Corning.
Both senior Haley Lukefahr and junior Neena Merola garnered All-American honors for Corning. Lukefahr will play at Virginia Tech and Merola is committed to Syracuse.
Henderson, who will play at Hartford with Biondi’s twin brother, Doug, led the Little Red boys in scoring en route to All-America honors. Lasda is headed to Penn State to play with his brother, Riley. Maine-Endwell goalie Tanner Cosens, who signed to play at Binghamton University, also earned All-American honors.
The Little Red boys claimed their fourth straight Section 4 Class A title before falling to West Genesee Saturday in the state quarterfinals. Ithaca placed seven players on the Section 4 Division I first team. Henderson and Lasda highlighted those selections.
