From the Coach - Boys Basketball v Trumansburg

Last night Dryden improved to 11-5 overall and 11-4 in IAC play with a 72-40 win over visiting Trumansburg.  Dryden placed 4 players in double-figures as Gage Ellis, Bryan Norman and Bryant Stuttle each had 16 points.  Shawn Moore chipped in with 12.  Trumansburg was led by Zach Kenney who had 11 points.  Dryden got out to a 22-8 first quarter lead.  "We utilized a full-court press to get some easy baskets."  "Bryant and Gage were agrressive in the first quarter and finished close to the rim"  Stuttle with 8 in the first quarter and Ellis with 10.  Dryden would take a 34-15 lead into the locker room at half.  Dryden would outscore T'burg 17-7 in the third quarter and 21-18 in the fourth quarter.  Shawn Moore with all 12 of his points in the second half.  "Shawn got good looks in the first-half, however he was too deliberate when he shot the ball.  Before the start of the second-half, I told him to shoot at gamespeed."  Moore would go 3/5 from three-point range in the second-half after going 0-2 in the first-half.  Dryden JV's lost to Trumansburg 58-51.  Matt McHerron led Dryden with 13 points.  Dryden hosts Union Springs Friday, the final game of the regular-season.  JV tip is at 5:30 to accomodate senior recognition before the varsity game.
