Lions Schedule Snowed out on Friday - creating a busy Saturday.

The Dryden Lions had a full slate of games on Friday the 13th, but Mother Nature had other ideas.  Most of the area received the first significant snow fall of the 2011-2012 winter season, making Today Make Up Saturday.  See Tweets from Mr. Boettger.

Dryden Hoops were 4-0 against Southern Cayuga today.  The girls traveled north to take on the Lady Chiefs.  The Varsity girls won in 4 Overtimes.  Great Job.  Article in the Journal

The boys were home for an early set of games.  A 1pm start for the JV's had the parents a little nervous.  Would their sons be awake and ready to go so "early" in the day?  The answer was yes.  Being used to 7am, two hour Saturday practices along with a extra hour of working out had the boys more that ready.  The JV's were at full strength the whole game after finishing their first meeting with their remaining 5 eligible players on the court after foul trouble and injuries. Another game of great hustle and team work.  The JV's are now 6-4. Photos from the game.
Hustle - Hitting the floor !!!!
Much like their last game in the Marathon, the older Lions were in control from the opening tip.  By the end of the third quarter the reserves were getting some quality minutes and contributing.  They are now 7-4 heading into Tuesday match up with Union Springs.  They will be looking to avenge a last minute loss to the Wolves earlier this season.
