Dryden Golf Tops Southern Cayuga
The Dryden Purple Lions Golf team improved to 6-2 in IAC matches by beating Southern Cayuga at Dryden Lake Golf Club on a cool and breezy Wednesday afternoon, Southern Cayuga fell to 2-7 with the loss.
Dryden Junior, Ryan Whitaker (36) shot the low round of the day by 5 shots and captured his fourth medalist honor of the year.
Adam Underwood was the second lowest player on the day with a solid 41.

Dryden Baseball Earns Non-League Win Over Newark Valley
Dryden improved to 10-4 overall with a 12-5 win over visiting Newark Valley.  For Dryden, Bruno Bugliosi picked up the win as he went 5+ innings, allowing 5 ER on 8 hits while striking out 8.  For NV, Jarred Stein got the loss as he went 2 innings, allowing 5 ER on 4 hits.  Dryden got on the board in the bottom of the first as Colton Wilson reached on an error to lead off the game.  He would later score on an RBI groundout by Derek Wilson to make it 1-0 Dryden.  
Dryden would tack on 5 more runs in the bottom of the second inning as John Whitmore reached on an error with 1 out.  Caleb Lazenby would follow with a single to put runners on 1st and 2nd with 1 out.  Colton Wilson would then reach on a fielder's choice as Whitmore was forced
at third for the second out of the inning.  A Bruno Bugliosi walk would load the bases.  Derek Wilson would then follow with a 2-out bases-clearing double to the left centerfield gap to make it 4-0.  Brian Colbert would follow Wilson with a 2-out, 2-run homerun to left-center to make 6-0 Dryden.  
Newark valley would get 2 runs back in the top of the fourth as Devlin Farr connected for a 2-run homerun to make it 6-2.  However, Dryden would answer back as Bruno Bugliosi reached on an error to lead off the inning.  After a flyout, Brian Colbert reached on an error to put runners on 1st and 2nd.  After another flyout recorded the second out of the inning, Alan Davis followed with a 2-out 3-run homerun to left-center to make it 9-2 Dryden.
Dryden is now off until they travel to Moravia Monday.
