JV Boys fight back to force OT - Win by 10

The JV boys basketball team started slow Tuesday evening.  Finding themselves down by 14 points a one time in the second half.  They took took a 2 point lead with under a minute left.  Lansing called timeout and got the equalizer basket moments later.  A last second attempt by the junior Lions fell short as the 4th quarter ended.

After winning the tip, Dryden got a quick layup and never looked back.  They used free throws at the end of the extra period to seal the win.  Outscoring Lansing 14-4 in the final 4 minutes.

Both teams play Groton tonight at home before heading into Christmas break.  The JV game starts at 6pm.  They will be back in action on Tuesday as they return to the Cortland Holiday Tournament.  Marathon (a re-scheduled league game) will be their first opponent and a good test for both teams.  Second round games will take place Wednesday.  Times TBA.
